Rockcote Torino
Rockcote Torino effectively combines the aesthetically pleasing colours and styles of traditional render finishes and limewashes, with the performance properties of modern acrylic coating systems. COMPOSITIONRockcote Torino is composed of a high performance pure acrylic binder containing finely graded quartz sand and durable colour pigments. Powerful mould and fungus inhibitors are also incorporated in this product. PERFORMANCE & PROPERTIESWater ResistanceRockcote Torino provides a water repellent, crack resistant finish. Torino also remains vapour permeable, allowing the walls to “breathe”. AdhesionRockcote Torino will adhere well to all properly prepared building substrates and is especially suitable for difficult surfaces such as high density concrete, A.A.C., or previously painted surfaces that would normally present a problem for traditional limewash or cement base paints. FlexibilityThe highly flexible nature of Rockcote Torino will allow for normal movement of the substrate without affecting the coating. Colours AvailableRockcote Torino can be tinted to a wide range of colours, enabling the creation of authentic looking European finishes in soft natural tones or exciting vibrant colours. Rockcote Torino exhibits a flat finish, which can produce a washed finish. FinishesDepending on application techniques and tools used, Rockcote Torino can be worked to a number of traditional yet highly fashionable finishes. For example, a “crowsfoot” finish can easily replicate Mediterranean style finishes carried out in traditional limewashes. Torino is ideal for producing sponged or coloured wash finishes. Ease of ApplicationRockcote Torino is supplied to the building site pre-mixed in plastic pails. Colour can be incorporated at the factory or added on site. The material is mixed to exact specifications in the factory, and is applied to the wall directly from the pail.
